چکیده
Background: Retention and stabilization of implant-supported overdenture is associated with more patient satisfaction, chewing capability, oral health-related quality life. There are a variety implant retention systems which can be utilized to retain an overdenture. Telescopic attachments provide excellent resulting from friction. Objective: This study evaluates the force fatigue resistance ready-made polyether ether ketone (PEEK) telescopic attachment in different numbers positions dental implants palateless maxillary Method: Five edentulous models were fabricated cold-cure poly methyl methacrylate resin. The divided into two groups; first group (3-implant supported overdenture) second (4-implant overdenture). Each subdivided subgroups according positions. One denture was constructed over each model. Ready-made PEEK telescope correspond abutments embedded inner surface these overdentures. Initial anterior, posterior, central values overdentures estimated compared after 540 cycles insertion removal using digital gauge. One-way ANOVA testing used compare means one, Independent sample t-test two, comparison value between groups Paired applied for determining difference initial secondary (p<0.05). Results: anterior significantly decreased when placed distally while posterior increased. Also, increased as number increased; lowest mean recorded Group one highest two. final times removal. However, still larger than minimum that reported (5–7 N) achieve sufficient satisfaction. Conclusion: location affect Continuous prosthesis daily hygiene practice lead decreases values.

Comparison of the Effect of Ball and Bar Attachment Designs on Retention and Stability of Mandibular Implant-Supported Overdentures
Objectives: The present study evaluated the effect of bar and ball attachment designs on retention and stability of a mandibular overdenture supported by four implants. Methods: An edentulous mandibular acrylic resin model with four implants in the anterior part of the ridge (A, B, D and E) was fabricated. A metal framework simulating the overdenture was also fabricated. Totally, 30...
متن کاملAttachment systems for implant retained overdentures: a literature review.
This article presents a comparison between different attachment systems used to retain and support maxillary and mandibular overdentures in completely edentulous patients. A literature review based on a MEDLINE search limited to English-language articles published from 1988 to the present was performed, and a large number of attachments available in the dental market were reviewed with regard t...
متن کاملPatient-based and clinical outcomes of implant telescopic attachment-retained mandibular overdentures: a 1-year longitudinal prospective study.
PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare Oral Health-Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL), denture satisfaction, and masticatory performance in edentulous patients provided with mandibular implant-supported overdentures (ISODs) retained with telescopic attachments and those of conventional complete dentures (CCDs). Peri-implant soft tissue changes were also evaluated at various...
متن کاملRetention characteristics of attachment systems for implant overdentures.
PURPOSE The aim of this study was to compare the retention characteristics of various overdenture attachment systems commonly used to retain overdentures to dental implants. MATERIALS AND METHODS An edentulous mandibular model was constructed incorporating 2 parallel 4.0 mm x 13 mm Branemark implants placed in the canine regions. Attachments were embedded in a metal-reinforced experimental ov...
